But what exactly are the 3 days in July?

The 3 days in July have become somewhat of folklore in the Siargao surf scene. Over a decade ago, an Aussie residing in Siargao island, Kyron Rathbone made a film titled “3 days in July” capturing surfers catching some swell during the typically flat month of July.

Since then, many believe that the 3 days in July are a special gift from mother nature giving the surfers a bit more stoke during Summer's smaller waves. A series of other videos have been released based on the “myth” of these special days.
